Dubuque Police Investigate Shooting On July 15, 2019, at approximately 12:55 AM, the Dubuque Police Department responded to the area of 515 Pickett St for a report of shots fired. Shortly after receiving this call, the Dubuque 9-1-1 Communication Center received a report that a subject that had been shot and was currently in the area of W. 16th and Cornell St.Officers arrived on scene at W. 16th and Cornell St and found Randy F. Arrests Made Following Dubuque Forgery Case On July 10, 2019, at approximately 1:48 PM, officers were dispatched to Kohl’s, 2595 N.W. Arterial, for a subject attempting to pass a fake $100 bill. A plainclothes officer attempted to make contact with the suspect in the parking lot as he entered a vehicle. The suspect and two others then fled in the vehicle from the parking lot, driving recklessly onto the N.W. Injuries reported after storm in Dubuque County The Dubuque County Sheriffs Office assisted area police and fire departments in responding to damage as a result of the storm early this evening. Numerous reports were taken of trees and wires down throughout the county. Two people were injured as a result of their trailer home being destroyed on Roller Coaster Rd. Another person was injured after being trapped inside of a collapsed barn on Ryan Rd. All were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. More information r read more... Murder Charge Filed and Victim Identified On March 31st, 2017, at 2:19 a.m., Dubuque Police & Fire personnel responded to 870 Kane Street on the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult female inside the residence with injuries consistent with being stabbed. Paramedics declared the female dead at the scene. She was later identified as Samantha J. Link, 21, of 870 Kane Street. An adult male was also present at the residence and was identified as Link’s boyfriend, Fontae C. Scam Burglary in Dubuque On March 21st, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an elderly Dubuque resident was the victim of a scam related burglary. The resident reported a Hispanic male came to her door and indicated he was in the area doing concrete work/repairs. He further stated he noticed her back patio had a crack in the concrete. While the resident was distracted, discussing the repair and cost, a second suspect burglarized her home, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Two Rescued after Fall in Mineshaft On 10/15/16 at approximately 01:26 A.M. officers of the Dubuque Police Department responded to North Grandview Ave. near Bunker Hill Golf Course/Pet Park after receiving a third party report that two subjects were trapped in a mine shaft and one was injured. Officers arrived on scene and were directed to a storm drain the subjects used to access the mine shaft.
